Lilly -- a teacher by day, who has also worked in restaurants for most of her adult life -- has now owned the business for about eight months. She's renamed it Lark + Lily and revamped the menu to include some more casual dining options -- but kept the beautiful courtyard and the knowledgable staff...
Some ideas are just good. And when they're good, they stick. I've been around the Center Square blocks long enough to have known each iteration of the basement wine bar on Albany's Lark Street, and some of its life before. Even without the fog of nostalgia, it's fortunate Silvia Meder Lilly, erstwhile Bethlehem librarian, veteran server and the wine bar's newest owner, has backed this horse. Newly minted as Lark & Lily Wine Bar & Kitchen, it is still the sum of its parts: enoteca, subterranean den, rarefied corner for a tête-a-tête, the coziest place to sip wine indoors or out...
